Hola, I've moved house and finding things along the way - in both the old house and the new - I've been inspired by material that recreates the folk art presence of my ex votos. Take a look at my latest work:

Great day at Kraftbomb
Yesterday I was at Kraftbomb in Grey Lynn - thanks to all who bought paintings! I'm currently using a new technique painting on flat cotton which I've strengthened and treated. These take less time to dry and give me more flexibility to experiment with different stories and textures.
Here's a selection of my work from the last month:

Sometimes the canvas makes you feel empty, so that is when an artist needs to explore the 3-dimensions

Devonport Craft Market
Hola!
I am an Argentinean artist and have been living in New Zealand for the last five years. Much of my work is inspired by South American beliefs and folk art.
I am currently working on a series of “ex votos” – these are a personal thank you to a person or hero when an individual is saved from a dangerous or threatening event. These events can range from a health scare or accident to a personal situation or even a relationship issue, there is usually something quirky about the event.
I'll be at the Devonport Craft Market on 5 September, 32 Clarence Street, Devonport. 10am - 2pm selling my ex votos. Below are some examples.
